Glamorous

As I sit here in my powder-blue robe, old tee-shirt, yellow polka-dotted pajama bottoms, and old slippers, I have to be the farthest thing from glamorous as can be. I'm not wearing any makeup, my eyebrows are unkempt (read: need to be reapplied), and it's time to shave my head again. My fingernails are freshly cut, but need to be filed; my toenail polish is scuffed and needs to be redone. I'm sitting in my dining room, watching ducks poop on my porch, while my boys are in the next room, probably grinding cereal into the floor. Dishes are piled in the sink; laundry sits unsorted in baskets throughout the house. Toys. Are. Everywhere.

What a glamorous life I lead.

Motherhood you have to love it. My house seems to be a little like yours. Expect I don't have ducks pooping on my porch.

Sounds like a normal day in the Allen household. My kids are all in school now, but things are just as unkempt. Just enjoy life!

I was thinking the same thing about my life today. It was noon before I took the time to get myself together. I still am not done with all the laundry that is haunting my life.

The only difference between me and you is that I need to pluck my brows, not apply them and my pajama pants are plaid, not polka dots. Oh, and I don't have ducks on my porch. Other than that...pretty much identical. From the looks of it, there are several of us. We should start a club--a sorority like the old days, eh?
