Thanks to everyone for your well-wishes and advice. Amazingly enough, whatever bug I had lasted a mere 48 hours. Man, am I grateful! My mom is flying into town in a few minutes and I am so excited to see her. I'm probably more excited than my 3-year-old, but it's harder for him to contain all that excitement.
