Checking In: Organization

I know I may look like a slacker, but I PROMISE I've been getting my organization done. I've just been a slacker when it comes to blogging about it. :-) Plus, the real important part is I'm actually getting things done, right?

These are the things I've been doing that may or may not be blogged about later (and boy, let me tell you, what exciting posts they will be! Not.)
  • Beneath the bathroom sinks. I have three in my home so it was quite the chore. I even went through all of my makeup and cleaned out my makeup boxes. (Yes, I have more than one. It has sparked a new challenge for me that I might post about next month once all this organization stuff is done.)

  • Medicine cabinets/medicine storage areas (in my house, they are one and the same). Again, there are three, so it took me a little while. I did it at the same time as the "beneath the bathroom sinks." It kept me from taking the mess up top and just shoving it under the sinks.

  • Refrigerator. I'm still waiting on this one. I've done the "Before" photo, but I need to do some grocery shopping so I'd rather do the organization all at once before introducing new items into an already-organized space.

  • TV cabinet. I don't have any before/after pictures of this because it was a space I decided to do on my own. It sorta worked out because one of the daily tasks from the Challenge was something I didn't need to do, anyway.

  • One of the other tasks was mail storage, but I don't really get any mail except for the "junk" variety, so that just goes in the recycle bin, anyway. No need to organize that.

  • Today's task was the master closet, but being the go-getter that I am, I actually organized/purged my closet AND my husband's on the day that I organized our dressers. I didn't take any "Before" and "After" shots of that, so I guess I'm just ahead of the game. *patting self on back*

So, that's what I've been up to lately. There are only a couple of days left in the "21 Days to Get Organized" Challenge and I'm so glad that I participated. It has definitely helped me stick to my organization goal from the beginning of the month and has helped me feel like I can accomplish something. I've been coming up with ideas for other challenges I can give myself that I'm hoping will help me stick with some of my other year-long goals.
