Come As You Are

I've been thinking a lot lately about why I have this blog. Do I write so that other people will read it? Do I want them to read it so that they will like me? Or do I write as an outlet just for me? I think it started out as the latter, but then morphed into the other two. That's not what I want. Sure, I'd like people to read it, and sure, I'd like people to like me, but I don't want that to be my motivation. I think blogging has helped me learn more about myself and has allowed others to learn more about me as well.

With the new year upon us, I am hoping that I can make this blog more of what it was started for - my thoughts, ideas, and interests. I think I've been holding back lately because I've thought, "People don't want to read about this. I don't know if I want people seeing that. Etc, etc, etc." That's when I realized I was no longer writing for me.

So, a fair warning: You'll be seeing more posts, more photos, and a whole lot of randomness, but who knows how interesting it all will really be. :-)

Good For you I think we all think that. Because it is on the internet anyone could see it. But I think it's great. I will read what ever you post and I will love it. And I'm happy that you will be posting more pictures and more of just what ever. Even if you think we might think it's nothing. It's something to you. And thats whats important.

I appreciate your honesty. Today I made a post about my frustrations with my own hairiness, particularly my eyebrows. I couldn't help but think of you and your opposite problem. Isn't it interesting how as friends we can each have strengths and weaknesses we can strenghten each other with. I don't think my eyebrows are a strength (esp when you read my post you will see what I mean) but it reminded me of the spiritual moral of my thoughts. I hope if you read it it doesn't seem insensitive that I am complaining of something you would love to deal with. But that is part of the reason I love reading things here. I see strenghts and weaknesses I didn't know about or that I have really benefited from.
You are a great friend. Keep writing!

Good! You should definitely blog for yourself; it can be very therapeutic I'm sure, and who cares what other people want to read about. Love you Am, hope you guys have a good Christmas tomorrow!
