A few weeks ago, I started the "Couch to 5K" program. Sadly, by day 2 of week 2, my knees were out of commission. They started having so much pain, I couldn't even walk down the stairs in my home without feeling like my knees were going to give out on me. It stayed like that for at least 2 weeks and I was beginning to think I had done some sort of serious damage. Thankfully, the pain has now passed and I am excited to report that I was able to start the program up again! I picked up where I left off of in week 2, and it was a little bit disheartening since I should be on week 5, but I'm just glad that I can start running again at all. I guess all this exercise stuff was just a shock to my system. Hopefully my body can cooperate now that exercise is becoming more routine. It has felt so good to be more active again!

It could be your shoes! At least that was part of my problem. I got some different running shoes and no knee pain in sight. Good luck with running, I'm really trying to get into it as well!
