Current Events

Why am I so out-of-touch with the world? I'm always the last person to get news. I don't like being this way. I always feel like a huge dork when everyone around me is talking about what's going on with North Korea, or what Obama is doing lately, or just any news story in general. I just sit there with a confused look on my face, trying to follow what they're talking about. I hate it. I want to make a more conscious effort to be up on current events. How do you stay up on things? Internet? News programs? The newspaper? Let me know what works for you!

I try to watch the news before my kids get up, but I don't always get it in (I run at 5, shower at 6:15, and kids are usually up by 6:30). I also try to read the top world and national headlines on the 'net. I'm not as "up" on what's going on as I'd like to be either. I blame it on being a busy mommy with young kids.....

I have a husband who checks CNN.com twenty times a day. Though he doesn't generally volunteer the information he reads, I try to ask him whats going on in the world. Most of the time, I here about something randomly then tell him about it like its new news and he's like, 'Yeah, that happened two weeks ago'. Annoying.
